How to Get to the Kitchener Chess Festival:
Pick your choice, if flying in, of 3 airports!WestJet has DIRECT daily flights from Calgary to Kitchener!Toronto's Pearson International is the biggest airport with flights from all areas of the world. Airways Transit operates a shuttle bus that will take you from door to door between the airport and the Walper Terrace Hotel (or any other location you wish in the region). This shuttle is less than an hour long. Hamilton's International Airport is another good choice with flights from major centres across Canada via WestJet. Again, a shuttle bus will take less than an hour. This airport is also less congested and easier to find your way around. Kitchener now has it's own International airport (Waterloo Regional Airport) with limited flights generally connecting through Detroit Michigan via Northwest Airlines and their connector carriers. (Pick ups from this airport can be made by the organizing committee, if you are coming in to the Waterloo Regional Airport, please email or call us at: patrick@psmcd.net or 519-648-3253 and we will make arrangements to pick you up.) When Flying in, Airways Transit operates the shuttle-bus service from both Toronto and Hamilton airports. Please call
Airways Transit to reserve your
shuttle-bus transportation from these airports to your hotel. If you are Driving ... From Toronto or London areas, follow the 401: (Kitchener is approximately half way between London and Toronto)
